Idea Generation

When i began my research i started off with a paranormal themed idea for my product as this was similar to the type of horror films i had already been researching. However, after collecting my primary audience research my results showed that more people were interested in a stalker themed film. Therefore, I have developed and changed my idea and decided to choose this theme type instead as I think it would be more popular within an audience.

Synopsis

My narrative begins with two best friends who have just left college and have bought a house together. We see them moving into their new home and enjoying their first night together. In this clip we see how close they are and how their sister-like relationship works through how they talk and act with each other. The next day as they move more of their belongings into the house we meet their next-door neighbour, a middle aged man who lives on his own. To begin with this man see genuine as he greets the girls and welcomes them to the neighbourhood. However, many stories/rumours have been said about him by other neighbours within the area who have warned the young girls. The girls become cautious but do not think too much into it until they begin to hear odd noises coming from the house next door in the middle of the night, as this becomes a regular occurrence one of the girls visits his house to make sure everything is alright, the man reassures her and then the noises stop but three days later they begin again but this time within their house.a As days progress the girls find themselves being tormented by noises and a dark figure within the middle of the night. Things begin to get worse when the girls invite a friend round and find her dead in her bed when they wake up in the morning with a threatening note attached to the body. As the film progresses the girls find that their neighbour watches them a lot. As the girls grow gradually more suspicious and scared of their neighbour the more he makes them fear him. An event then occurs involving a face to face between the girls and the neighbour (the killer).
