However, I feel that these inter-titles are too plain and boring and therefore would not stand out or appeal to my audience. After realising this, I decided to start experimenting with Photoshop but I seemed to struggle with the range of effects which I could use so I decided to research some tutorials on YouTube which I thought would help with the creativity of my product. This is the tutorial I used to create my new and improved inter-titles for my horror film trailer:

These snapshots show the steps of how I created the inter-titles for my horror film trailer. I was able to create these inter-titles using Photoshop and by following this Photoshop tutorial on YouTube.
I downloaded the concrete wall background from www.cgtextures.com.
First I began with a plain black background.
I then adjusted the fibers of my background and made the variance 5 and strength 10.
Next I adjusted the levels of my background until I found one I was happy with.
I then changed the black drips into red using the colours from my toolbar.
I felt that the red I began to use was too bright so I therefore changed it to a darker red known as a20000 on the colour chart.
I then entered my text. I downloaded this font called 'cold night for alligators' using www.dafont.com.
To finish off the creation of my intertitle I called up my selection tool by pressing 'command + T' on my MAC keyboard and tilted my text to the position I was happy with.
I will repeat this technique when creating the other inter-titles for my horror film trailer.
I have chosen to design and create them this way as I think the red and grey colours work together well and the red blood stained walls make it look creepy and scary which links into the horror theme of my trailer.
These are my completed inter-titles for my horror film trailer:
