Researching intertitles

After gathering my audience feedback, looking at the data which I had collected and talking to my audience members, both me and my audience, decided that the intertitles which I am currently using in my horror film trailer do not work well with the shot timing and soundtrack, therefore I have decided to research different horror trailers and analyse the intertitles they have used. Also, from looking at my intertitles I can see that they do not look very professional therefore after researching professional intertitles I will experiment with a software on my MAC computer known as "after effects" to try and create more professional intertitles for my final product. I have some knowledge of after effects as I have already created my company's logo using this software.

These are the intertitles which I will be researching:

- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuYoEtEI_go - Nightmare on Elm Street

I have selected these inter-titles from the horror film trailers which I have researched because I think they are simple but still effective and will therefore be easy enough for me to re-create for my product by using the after effects and photoshop software I have available and the knowledge I have of them. After receiving my audience back and talking to my audience members I have gathered an idea for the inter-titles I will be using in my final trailer, this idea consists of using only 1 of my original inter-titles instead of using all 3. For the first and second inter-title in my trailer I will be creating a much simpler design, I am considering re-creating the inter-title from the film trailer Carrie (shown above). If these two new designs do not link well with the one inter-title which I will be using from my rough cut then I will re-design another inter-title similar to the one from Nightmare on Elm Street trailer which i have researched (shown above), I will do this because I think the red and black colours of this inter-title does a very good job of presenting the film as one of the horror genre, also the away in which it appears on the screen looks very professional.
